Start Here First!
Welcome to the Dragonfly! There are a few things to note before you arrive:

Dragonfly is an indoor-shoe friendly environment.Outdoor boots/shoes are not permitted in the studio. **Due to hygiene, you cannot be barefoot

There are coat hangers available at the entrance.

Strollers must remain outside the studio, however if your infant is in a bucket seat, you are welcome to bring the seat in to studio.

Open Studio is not a drop-off program. If you are registering your child for open studio they need a registered and participating adult to accompany them (any child under 16)

There is a washroom on site with a baby-changing station.

Reusable water bottles and reusable coffee mugs are welcome in the studio for all events. However, food and fast food drink are not permitted during open studio, art classes, and paint nights. Birthdays and private events may provide food to the guests provided the food is consumed at tables without art supplies after the session concludes. Please ensure all food/beverage brought to the studio is NUT FREE. Dragonfly Art Studio cannot guarantee the entire studio is nut-free.

Where are you located?The studio is located in the Hanlon Plaza at 25-340 Woodlawn Rd. W. Guelph, ON. It is on the left side of the building past the Goodwill and right next door to The Banquet Hall. The studio is on the side facing the Hanlon.

Who can come to the Dragonfly classes?There is something for everyone at the Dragonfly Art Studio! Events in the studio have designated times and age groups so make sure you take a look at the studio calendar before you come in. Open Studio is an all ages drop-in however children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. It is not a drop off program unless otherwise stated. Make sure you check the calendar before you come to visit. Dates and times are subject to change.

Is food permitted?Reusable water bottles and reusable coffee mugs are welcome in the studio during all sessions. Food is welcome for private events as long as it is nut-free. However, due to the possibility of food debris in the supplies, all food must be consumed at tables not near the art supplies after artistry has been completed. . No food or fast food drinks are permitted during open studio.

Do you have a refund policy?Events purchased from the Events calendar (single session events) - there is no refund or deference on registrations. All registrations are final sale. If you are unable to attend your session for any reason (including but not limited to illness, injury, other commitments, etc) you may request a DIY for you to complete the painting/drawing at home. If the studio needs to cancel an event for any reason you will be provided a credit to be used for any other session. For Art Classes (4, 6, or 8 week sessions) - If you would like to cancel a registered program please note that refunds are only completed if we are three or more weeks to the session start date. A $5 processing fee will be retained. Refunds, discounts, or make-up classes are not available if you/your child miss a session. If you are not able to make a session, a DIY kit may be made for you to pick up to complete at home. If the studio cancels a full program all registrations will be refunded as a credit. For private events: The deposit ($75) for packages is non-refundable. For events cancelled less than 24 hours to event start time, no credit or refund is provided. Events cancelled less than 10 business days to party date will be refunded as a store credit (less $75) If you need to cancel your event more than 10 business days from your party date, the payment will be refunded (less $75 deposit). If, for whatever reason, the Dragonfly needs to cancel your event, you will be refunded the entire amount of your party fee except in the instance wherein your event is cancelled due to non-payment of the balance of your event. For booked birthdays, private events, fundraisers, the deposit is non-refundable. Other events may have been turning away due to your booking. If you have paid in full and need to switch the date of your event, we can do so without penalty one time if we are at least 1 week out from your event. Canvases and items purchased from the shop/merch are non-refundable.

Is there parking?Yes! Parking is available to the left of the lot along the grass directly across from the studio. There is parking available for accessibility, however, the door to the studio is not automatic. If you require assistance entering the studio, please call 519-546-3559.

Is there a cost to come to the Studio?Yes, there is a fee to attend the classes at the studio. Paint nights and art class fees will vary depending on the age, timing, and material. Open studio is $10/person with access to everything on the floor. There are other items such as canvases, riverrocks, wooden circles, tote bags, and pots you may paint on for an additional fee. Unless stated as a drop off program, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a registered and participating adult. This includes Family designated paint nights and open studio.

What does the fee for Open Studio cover?The Open Studio Fee covers the cost of the supplies on the floor, cleaning the supplies (don't worry, I'll do that for you!), and use of the studio. The studio has a variety of supplies from paint, chalk, markers, and more are readily available. There are also different types of paper including craft, printer paper, acrylic paper, etc. There is an additional cost for canvas and other supplies if you prefer to work on them. Canvas, tote bags, and more are available directly from the studio.

Do you host birthday or private events?Yes! If you'd like to get colourful for a birthday party or private event, you are welcome to book in at the studio! Children birth + are welcome in the studio. Please note that adult supervision is required for private events. There is a total 16 children permitted in the studio for birthday parties. The studio has a participant maximum of 20 people. Adult private events are welcome! These are great for get-togethers, birthday parties, team building and more!

What about corporate/fundraiser events?The Dragonfly can easily transform in to a professional paint setting for a more adult-friendly atmosphere. There are 300+ paintings to choose from for your event - or if you'd like to enjoy the open studio, you're welcome to do so! Can I host an event at my location?Not everyone wants to host their event in the studio, and that is okay! If time permits, I'd love to help you get creative at a location of your choosing. There is minimum 8 people required for an event on site. There is also an additional $75 artist fee (this covers insurance, travel, and studio closure). The artist fee is the deposit for your event.
