Character Design - Winter Term

Unleash your child’s creativity with Character Design, a fun and imaginative drop-off program for kids ages 8 to 13 who love to dream up unique characters and bring them to life through art!
 
In this exciting class, young artists will dive into the world of original character design, learning how to create their own original heroes, villains, and fantasy beings. They’ll explore how to add personality and story to their characters through creative details like clothing, wings, armor, accessories, and weapons.
 
Held in our lively studio, Character Design teaches kids how to think like an illustrator—building characters from concept to finished design. Step-by-step instruction will guide them through drawing anatomy, expressive poses, and key features that make each character one-of-a-kind. Students will also learn how to develop their character’s world and personality through costume choices, props, and visual storytelling.
 
Throughout the program, young artists will experiment with shading, linework, and mixed-media techniques to give their creations texture, depth, and vibrant style. Whether they’re designing a magical fairy, an armored warrior, or a futuristic adventurer, kids will gain confidence in their artistic abilities and expand their creative imagination.
 
Character Design is perfect for young artists who love inventing original characters and want to learn how to bring their ideas to life through professional-level design techniques.
