Intro to Portraits for Kids

Ignite your child's imagination with Intro to Portraits (for kids!), a captivating art program for kids aged 6 to 10!
 
In this unique workshop, young artists will explore the fun and adaptable methods of drawing people both in cartoon and in realistic formatting, creating colourful and detailed drawings of people - both real & imagined. 
 
Hosted in our bright, inviting art studio, this program offers a safe and inclusive environment where creativity knows no bounds.
 
Each session begins with an engaging introduction to different styles and techniques.
 
Guided by the enthusiastic portrait artist, Rae Wright, children will learn essential drawing techniques, including sketching, shading, and adding vibrant colours. They’ll have the freedom to design their own characters, encouraging them to express their individuality and creativity.
 
Intro to Portraits is perfect for  parents seeking meaningful, screen-free activities that inspire their children. Watch as your child’s confidence blossoms with every creation, all while making new friends in a supportive atmosphere.

Please dress for mess! 
The Dragonfly Art Studio is indoor shoe friendly. Please ensure you are wearing indoor shoes, socks, or slippers. Barefeet and outdoor shoes are not permitted. 

Water bottles are welcome.
